Collaborated with my students to produce a unique sofa made entirely from waste plastic bottles. This project was not only an exercise in creativity and teamwork but also an educational experience highlighting the importance of recycling and sustainability. After weeks of collecting bottles, planning the design, and assembling the pieces, we proudly presented the finished sofa at a Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A) meeting. The parents were impressed by the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the students. They had the opportunity to interact with the art piece, sitting on the sofa and appreciating its comfort and durability. The project sparked meaningful conversations about environmental responsibility and showcased the potential of upcycled materials in everyday objects. It was a rewarding experience for the students and a memorable moment for the parents, emphasizing the value of hands-on learning and community involvement in environmental initiatives.
